Alia Abdul Salam, the first Emirati female competitor in Formula 4 boat races, developed her passion for speed and boat racing with her father, a former boat racing champion. Her talent grew, leading her to take her first professional step by officially obtaining an international certificate for speedboat driving.
Alia pursued her university studies in psychology while nurturing her passion for racing and consistently training to achieve her goal of officially representing the United Arab Emirates as the first Emirati female competitor in Formula 4 boat races.
Currently, Alya is preparing to achieve her goal, with additional health support from the Aesthetic Polyclinic Complex to prepare her physically and mentally for the speedboat races in Norway in August 2024 as part of Team 2050
Alya won the race and the challenge/ After intense preparation and training, which we were honored to be part of, Alya achieved 5th place in her first international competition at the World Powerboat Championship in Tønsberg, Norway.
This is a great achievement for a young Emirati woman who faced the challenge and made it to advanced stages of the competition.
We wish Alya all the best, and we’re sure even better things are ahead. Our support will continue as you take on new challenges and races!
